~ view of the pyramid ~

Sometimes we are given moments, and words to go along with those moments, that whet our soul’s appetite for what life can offer when we let it. I want to speak a poem that lives

inside your head for a while,

that makes it rain indoors and gives

you reason to leave with a smile.

But, before I can speak it,

I have to free it and write it,

I have to be it and decide with

all my marrow, all my blood,

all my heart and mind,

and all that other crud,

that this is worth everything

I fight with, everything I fight for,

my entire life lived, and I give it

even more.
