~ Ritual ~

Sitting in the waiting room;

expectant, hopeful, and joyous.

Sipping conversation and tasting legacy.

Children will be born today.

Some of the sick and elderly will pass on.

Today, however, is a matter of ritual.

Tomorrow, as it’s stands, may just be the end of the road.

A decent amount of water, a small vessel of coffee, some inspirational text, my latest journal, and something to write with. I’d be content to start every single one of my remaining days with these same sweet simplicities that never go out of style. Thank you for inspiration. Thank you for quiet time in the morning. Thank you for sacred scripture. Thank you for poetry.
