Roughly 93% of communication is non-verbal. If we are not actively listening to each other, in the words that we are saying AND the way in which they’re being said, then we are neither hearing nor understanding. This is how wars start. This is how lives are lost. This is how certain individuals go through their entire lives without understanding or ever really being understood. This is how relationships break down and wounds arise. This is perhaps the greatest single threat to mental health awareness. This divide being bridged is how we might come to save ourselves from ourselves.
