We are joined and designed at the hip and the heart with every creature that creeps, and as the connection becomes better defined, the enemy of our souls never sleeps. But the artist that painted the world tends the garden, knows we’re intertwined, and every promise made she keeps.
So, we continue to climb to the tops of the towers we’ve made,
looking down on his creation below. For we’ve no idea how long our episode will be played, we’re merely ecstatic to watch the show.

I remember all those years back when I first visited the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was fascinated by the breathtaking rock formations, and was specifically intrigued by the one referred to in the guide book as the “Siamese Twins”. After touring around for quite a while, frustrated for not having found the apple of my eye, I decided to climb up on top of a nearby formation for a bird’s eye view. I sat there for a while, soaking in the majesty and the grandeur of the expanse. It was only after returning to Denver (my home at the time) and getting the film in the disposable camera developed, that I was able to smile and have a good laugh. In looking out for the ‘Twins’, I had unwittingly climbed atop one of them. This snap from 2002 is of me meditating in a seated position on top of one of her towers.
