Your mind is
Your heart is
Your soul is
Let me remind you you
it’s never too late to start if
your goal involves breathing and being
Six feet over rather than six feet under
We may never perish
and we are born into wonder
I choose my words carefully and let them light
I do not mince them together
Let loose each bird in a flock taking flight
which hints at forever
This life you seek after
enchanted from afar
filled with love and laughter
perhaps a guiding star
is within reach
because it is within you
but it isn’t and won’t be a given
there are lessons
only the road can teach
and letting go begins to
show you the way into this living
You must allow it to be pulled out of you slowly
as if the essence of time
were drawing water from a distant well
and carrying it back to your own dwelling
never minding the drops lost to the soil below
as overflowing cups tend to spill
overflowing hearts tend to heal
and your story is worth telling
