As I wander, seeking vision and representation, I find aspects of other creative minds everywhere. I want to ask them questions about their lives and what makes them tick. Perhaps more importantly, I wish to ask them what gives them hope. I wish to ask them what gives them purpose and drives them. I want to ask them what passions that they have been ridiculed for, and what activities which they have excelled at, yet despised, for which they have been showered with praise. I want to know and be known. I want to hear and be heard. I want to understand and be understood. I want to help others feel as though they belong in my world, if they so desire to belong.

When the sun is setting, as a distant storm is brewing over our beloved river and Virginia St. Bridge, my heart experiences a magic that I personally put up against any place on earth I’ve been.
