Rest and relaxation, tested exasperation, showing us from the path we’re on that another is possible. It can be done a different way. We can rise to rails and push on till dawn on roads that bend and sway.

Remember that line from back in the day. And whether or not it may be attributed to who, it is true, regardless who had the original say. Life peeks out. It winks. It even occasionally hides your keys. Life finds a way if we’ll simply ask it “please”.

The roads lead to you, the dreams speak of you. You are the want in I need to do, and the find in I seek to do. You remind me what is right, what is lovely, and what is kind. You help me see how seasons are designed. These days getting faster and months flying by, only show me the disaster in never searching why. This love. This peaceful wandering. This connection. This you.

~ lessons ~

They say those who don’t learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. But what if the leaders aren’t readers or heeders of lessons before me, don’t follow suggestions, flip-flop professions, and don’t think the people need them. Then the cycles continue to plague the earth, though there are those who know the lessons, their worth, and see the patterns, barking at the wind and holding tightly to lanterns. We live in a fallen world, scattered, and it doesn’t matter who just truthfully ranted. Because, what they’re chanting against isn’t yet ready to be beaten.

Many have paid the greatest price for the greed of others in far off places. Some do not mind sending them off, for they do not see the looks on their faces. But, eventually, justified or not, we’ll all meet the same end. No amount of money, fame, or military claim, can be our means to eternally mend. A price has been paid. Life has been lost. Yet, now it can be named.
