When your life is an authentically organic open book of love, lived without personal agenda, it becomes the bar we have set for ourselves. The statement we make to the abyss is this, “I know I’m going to die one day. I choose to live with purpose, passion, presence, and perspective all the days of my life until then.” We hoist pyramids one block and rock at a time, we climb mountains to combat this same time, a desire to rhyme, and find youthful fountains and matched set chimes.

Falling again and again,

far short of perfection,

eyes set in an upward direction,

while others around,

are just looking down at me. Trying to rise. Trying to sever ties with the disguises this world tries to continuously get me to comply. Surprise universe. My love spies from the skies, and she never denies my cries.
