If ever I come across as needing something that you do not have, please remember, I just need you. Your company. Your quality time. Not all of it. Just enough that my dance card always feels full when I want to move and shake.                                                If ever I come across as wanting anything that you do not know, please remember, I just want to belong and be loved. And love back. And live. Yes, lots of living all around. If ever I come across as harsh or bitter, please remember, I’m not finished yet. Hold on to your dessert fork.                             Taken aback, shocked perhaps, at the state of affairs as they are. If ever I seem too dark, please remember, you’re my shining star.

Take time to reflect upon the darkest shadows, the deepest caverns of your hearts intention. Release the power they have to keep one in viscious cycles. Let us see them for what they are. Acknowledge them. Find ways through them, and move on.
