A level of bravery I do not have.

It hardens the bone.

It softens the heart.

The light of grit,

and the pain of grace subside,

as we sit back and trace the times,

we might forget the place,

that life reared back and spit

in our face.

From within it comes,

a level of bravery

I do not have.

To love anyway.
