Crossing

~ Crossing ~

.

The path of perceived progress was built upon the backs of strong tall trees that were cut down too soon. Whether it was the pyramids or the railroads, Cotton or the Capitol Building, Monticello or the White House, we carry those splinters with us to this day. This life force that was stolen has not been dealt with in a manner that was authentic or sustainable. This life value that has been trampled under foot is not repaid. These paths garner praise. The means warrant self destruction. The history is being altered. The voices are being erased. This land may have been made for you and me, but it is riddled with rotten stumps, and filled with disdain.
