Jacqueline

Upon pulling the wire, braided or not, which was the framework for scaffolding. “Jacqueline” was being helped to grow upward and outward by such wire as a support beneath branches. Through various arches and ledges it bore a resemblance to an urban jungle or an example of magical realism on a miniature scale. She is my bonsai tree. She is my favorite of the many plants and trees of which I try to be a good steward. She’s had a rough winter. I’m removing all wire from her soil and letting her be. She was born in Virginia, and thus wild. Wild she will be in her growth from here on out. If you think of it, and you believe in the power of such things, and you have a quiet moment free, please pray for my girl. She deserves a little extra love.
