A matter of protest

Snipers on the roof of City Hall and the Courthouse. Tear gas already deployed. Windows broken and boarded up. “Hands up, don’t shoot” being shouted by those present. My beloved city has turned from peaceful to violent in protest less than a block from my beloved theatre. These voices will be heard. The sun is going down. The mayor has already instituted a curfew. The Biggest Little Riot is underway.
