Having realized our fabricated tree had finally conked out after all these years, we made the decision to part with it (seeing as tomorrow morning is our trash day) What we failed to anticipate was the end of the tree stock bumping the lock button on the knob in garage door while on our way out to the trash receptacle. Ugghhhhh. I’m sure the dogs inside the warm house were puzzled as to why we stayed outside for so long. After several attempts we were finally able to break in to our own house without having to call a locksmith, or family who would have a spare key, and without destroying a window or the door itself.
We would not let this frustrating setback dampen our resolve to muster up Christmas spirit. We went on an adventure to Home Depot and acquired a new tree (featured) as well as a spare house key made for future ease. Happy December everyone! Whatever you celebrate, I hope it’s merry, and that you never lock yourselves out.
