Seven Years to the Day Since I Moved Here

Today is a day for gathering in grief
to release and find rest in each other
to sit with silence to lay with loss
and learn what they have to teach
to reach out for one another
in love for the sake of compassion
in responsibility
for the sake of hope
in relationship for the sake of connection
in mourning for the sake of remembering
and honoring
a tremendous life force
who we will each carry with us
in our own ways
across the rest of our days
within each fiber of our being
being blessed
living love
as she would wish
